Hi,
I found out about flint through a website the other day with some interesting examples of flint usage (http://www.actionscripter.nl/)
Decided to start playing with it myself and wanted to generate some teleporter-esque particles. Think old star trek.
Trying to modify the fireworks example to suit my needs but i'm not yet familiar enough with all the options available so I'll run the idea past you and i hope you could point me in the right direction.
I need to generate a short burst of line based particles (perhaps add some dots for variation). Lines need to be vertically orientated and shouldn't move from the emitter if you get what i mean.
Any help would be great, love the system. -

Hi Raziel
It sounds like you want to change the length of the lines during their lifetime, which will need a custom action. Everything else is pretty standard - create the line particles in the central region, have them grow and fade during their lifetime. Add another emitter on top to create some dots over the whole region. I hope that helps. -

Sounds like a start, how can i get the orientation right? because now the lines point in various directions. -

Use the rotation initializer to set the rotation of the particles to the value you want
1 to 4 of 4
