I used a BitmapDataZone as a DeathZone so that the snow piles up as it hits the foreground image which makes quite a cool (although not at all realistic) effect...

I used BitmapDataZone like this but the particles disapears when they fall in the zone, I don't know how to keep the snow on the image :
