At first glance it seams like FLINT is a great system to programm particle effects but it doesn't support serialization/deserialization, right? My intuition see's particle systems on the resource side just like images, videos, sounds - it strikes me as odd to define them in AS3 code and compile them into my application. Maybe it's naive but what I miss is a way to create a particle effect in an editor, save it as a file and load it from inside my application just like any other resource.
Are there plans to go into that direction? Good reasons against it? External projects/tools that do it? What do you think? -

I might have plans to take Flint in that direction if I had more time. It certainly sounds like a great idea. If someone else would like to build such a tool on top of Flint, I'd be very pleased to see it happen and would be happy to help as much as I can.
