This, in the end, might be more of an Actionscript 3.0 question than a Flash question, but I'm hoping someone can help. I'm working to create a snowglobe using Flint brownian motion. Since there is no circular boundingbox, however, I'm trying to put a circular mask layer over my Flint actions layer. I'm having some strange issues with it though: Sometimes the mask blocks out all layers, not just the layer it's masking; sometimes it doesn't work at all. I've only gotten it to work once.
Has anyone had a similar issue? Any advice on how to fix it?
Thanks! -

A quick follow up - I haven't been using Actionscript to create my masks; just doing it in Flash, ctrl+click layer -> mask with a circular graphic. -

Solved the problem - I created a circular mask in AS3 and connected it to the renderer with renderer.mask = maskingShape; It's a neat little trick to get around the lack of a circular bounding box. -
