I am currently playing around with your particle system and find it a great tool to use.

I have looked at the explosion demo and I have tried to age the particles once they have exploded.

When I add Age to the action and then run the application the image just disappears.

I have also added Fade and Lifetime into the equation.

The application run when I comment out Age.

I have also changed the 2nd parameter in addExistingParticles to true while going through the discussion forum to see if anyone is doing the same thing, and it still doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks in advance for any help provided]]>

If you don't want it to age until after the explosion, you need to add the Age action when the explosion occurs, ... aged exploding image http://flintparticles.org/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=311&Focus=1201#Comment_1201 2010-05-13T16:28:11+01:00 2011-12-13T07:35:26+00:00 jmp909 http://flintparticles.org/forum/account.php?u=365 i don't think Fade works with bitmap particles from the Fade update function: particle.color = ( particle.color & 0xFFFFFF ) | ( Math.round( alpha * 255 )
from the Fade update function:

particle.color = ( particle.color & 0xFFFFFF ) | ( Math.round( alpha * 255 ) << 24 );

I don't think that's going to affect a bitmap's alpha

The color, including alpha, is used when drawing the particle onto the bitmap canvas.
