Hi All,
I'm just slowly realizing how Flint will help me quickly achieve things I would normally do some other, more tedious way.. great stuff! One thing I'm trying to achieve though is something like this:
using papervision and flint's 3d capabilities quickly take a bitmap and arrange 100 copies of it in a row of 10 x 10... (should I use emitter to do it?)
once I have this particle system i would like to use some force fields that would act on those particles...
to be specific I'm trying to create an ocean that would be composed of 100 bitmaps (100 waves)
now once I have this set in one place I would like to grab a force field and move it around resulting in nice waving from one side to another,
I assume this is doable with flint?
If you would point me in right direction and let me know which methods I could use, that would be awesome.
thx! -

To lay your images out in a grid you need either
1. A custom Initializer to initialize the particles.
2. To create the particles by hand then add them to the Emitter using the addExistingParticles method.
For some time now, I've been meaning to write a tutorial about creating custom Actions and Initializers, but other more urgent matters keep getting in the way. Meanwhile, Ryan Hodson's Flinteroids tutorial has some custom actions in it.
