How do I?: Can I set a BitmapDataZone to be the shape for a bounding box?

Essentially what I'm trying to do is render typeography out of particles, and then SetRandom drift, while confining this to the shape of the type. I've gotten it to do the 1st bit, where it renders the shape of the type but obviously they drift away from the initial shape, which isn't what I'm aiming for :/
Is this possible to do? If so how? as I'm a little stuck.

At the moment there is no method to do this. I would like to add collisions with any shaped zone - something I've started working on in the Collisions branch in SVN, but I haven't done the BitmapDataZone yet.

Cant you just extend the boundingbox class? -

Etend it to what? I've tried applying the BitmapDataZone into the parameters for the BoundingBox but it rejected it, were you thinking of another way?
I should probably note, I don't code often and so I'm not very good at it.. If there is another way, can ya break it down for me please :)

I was just throwing ideas. I only started to play with flint myself and sometimes i feel like just writing my own particle system. but i guess if you know flint enough you can get it to do what you want.
Anyway i meant by extending the bounding box class. if you have the source handy you can see BoundingBox.as has an update method. you can see its this method that the emitter calls that has effects on particles.
I was thinking of extending it myself too but too busy at the moment
