I can't figure out how to remove a single particle together with its bitmapdata once the particle has finished its life, is this even possible? does the bitmaprender draws the particles in a single bitmapdata or does it create many?

The bitmapLineRenderer draws all the particles on the same BitmapData object (for efficiency)so it's not possible to remove the line for just one particle.
