Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I can't seem to get black particle colors to work:
_emitter.addInitializer(new ColorInit(0x000000, 0x000000) );
_emitter.addInitializer(new ...
_emitter.addInitializer(new ColorInit(0x000000, 0x000000) ); _emitter.addInitializer(new ColorInit(0x00000000, 0x00000000) );
neither of those give me black particles... the closest I could get was dark grey using 0x3D3D3D00.]]>

Your first two digits after the x control transparency. It's working, but you're telling the computer to make them all invisible.
try using 0xFF000000 for you color codes.

Oooo ok for some reason I thought it was the last 2 digits that controlled transparency, tried 000000FF before too and that didn't work either haha. oops
