I recently discovered Corey O'Neil's "Collision Detection Kit" (http://www.coreyoneil.com/portfolio/index.php?project=5), which he uses in some pretty neat ways in his examples, most of which involve particles interacting with other (non-particle) items on the stage. It would be fantastic if the functionality in his kit could be rolled into Flint. Failing that, it seems like its functionality could be used via a new Flint action.

I'm looking into how to use Flint and the Collision Detection Kit together but I'm new to both, so I expect it'll take a while.

    Hi Colin

I've been doing some work on collisions in Flint. The results are in the collisions branch of the SVN repository. I wasn't aware of Corey's collision detection kit - it looks like a great addition since my collisions branch is based on collisions with flint zones, while Corey's work is based on collisions with display objects.

As you suggest, the most appropriate connection between the two would be one or more Actions that use Corey's collision detection kit to detect the collisions. If you get this working, please let me know.

    Regards
    Richard
