First off, FLiNT Particle System is amazing!
I recently updated to version 3 and all of my Random counters did not start running. When I changed the emitter to another counter type it emitted fine and when I added the resume() function it started running fine. I check the source code of the counters and saw that the Random counter did not have _running = true in the startEmitter method. Is this a bug or should am I doing something wrong?

Yes, it's a bug. Thank you for letting me know. I've fixed it in the Github repository and will include it in the next release.
