We plan an animation which will illustrate, for primary school pupils, how air inflates a bicycle inner tube. The inner tube woud be seen with transparency, so air molecules could be seen coming in from the valve and colliding indefinitely with no gravity against the walls of the tube.
I first imagined to do a cartoon like animation which is cheaper, but as a physic teacher, I know that a particle effect would be highly visual and pegagogic.
This need a good as3 developper. I guess the difficulties lies on:
1. managing a multiple particles effect like this one: http://flintparticles.org/examples
2. taking into consideration the rebound on a non spherical/linear wall of the deflated tube, and the evolution of this curves while the tube inflates. This need some physic engine and Bezier curves consideration like this: http://lab.andre-michelle.com/physics-engine or this http://lab.andre-michelle.com/ball-bezier-collision
eduMedia takes care of all the graphics (pump pumping outside, wheel appearance). I just need the code since we take care of the graphics.
I would be glad to get your advice on this. Is this too big developments for a tiny result ? Is this simulation possible ? Who can I get in touch with ? average price ?
